National Foundation for Australia-China Relations 2020-21 Competitive Grants Program

Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, The Australian Government

The Australian Government has announced a total of $16.5 million over 4 years for the National Foundation for Australia-China Relations. For this 2020-2021 grant opportunity, up to $4 million is available for disbursement in the 2020-2021 financial year.

It is anticipated that most grants will be between $20,000 and $1,000,000 per annum, for a maximum of two years, depending on the scope of the grant activity and its complexity.

The grant opportunity involves two stages: an Expression of Interest (EOI) to the Foundation, followed by an invitation to shortlisted applicants to submit a full grant activity application.

Expressions of Interest are submitted online via a short form in the DFAT Smartygrants portal which outlines your project and estimate of the funds you will be applying for.

It is a requirement of the EOI that you read the guidelines before submitting.

The due date for EOIs in the portal is 6pm on 8th August.
