Donald Trump has captured all the headlines, but Xi Jinping is at the same time succeeding relentlessly in realising the New Era he has proclaimed for China – restructuring its party and governance, intensifying domestic control, and now ambitiously deploying its economic heft to gain international influence and to transform global institutions to better serve its own goals and worldview. This presentation will focus on the extraordinary ways in which President Xi has already changed the Party and China and is now seeking to change the world.
