Sydney University Press invites you to the launch of Biographical Dictionary of Chinese Women Volume 2: The Twentieth Century 1912-2000 edited by Lily Xiao Hong Lee and Chen Yubing.
The book will be launched by Prof. Yixu Lu, Head of School of Languages and Cultures, the sponsor of the Chinese edition. She will be joined by Professor Yan Feng of the University of Sydney Confucius Institute and Dr He Yuhuai of the Australian Chinese Cultural Associations.
This event is open to all, but please RSVP for catering purposes by 19 February 2017.

About the book
中國婦女傳記辭典二十世紀卷
The second volume of the Biographical Dictionary is a comprehensive reference work which covers 309 significant women of Chinese descent living both in China and abroad. They were most active in the 20th century and represented all walks of life.
The English edition was published in 2003 by M E Sharpe of York and has since been updated to ensure that the new Chinese edition remains timely. The publication of the Chinese edition by the Sydney University Press is sponsored by the School of Languages and Cultures. The Chinese edition of the Qing volume was published in 2010.
