An opportunity for a Lecturer in Chinese (Mandarin) has arisen within the Department of Education and Social Sciences (DESS) team. The position will be responsible for contributing to the undergraduate and postgraduate teaching effort of the School of Arts, Social Sciences and Humanities. This may involve a range of activities including, but not limited to, delivery of lectures and tutorials, developing learning materials, conducting and marking assessment, supervision of student projects and convening subjects. The lecturer will work as part of an interdisciplinary team in order to help the School to achieve its objectives. This may involve travelling and teaching across campuses or overseas. The lecturer will also be expected to carry out appropriate activities that will maintain and develop their scholarly research and/or professional expertise and in particular have the capacity to act as coordinating supervisor of PhD students.
