The 2015 Chinese Social Policy Workshop will be held on the first day of the Australian Social Policy Conference, University of New South Wales, Sydney, 28 September 2015. It will present recent research on developments in Chinese social policy. Its aim is to increase the capacity of Chinese and Australian researchers to collaborate in areas of joint policy research interest by building on their record of cooperative social policy research relations.
Professor Xuejin Zuo, Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences, China, will present the keynote address.
The Workshop will discuss broad topics regarding social policies in China, especially on poverty, social security, ageing, disability and child welfare and protection in China. Chinese, Australian and other international researchers and government and non-government officials engaged in current research in China or with an interest in developing that research agenda are welcome to present or attend the workshop. Simultaneous translation will be available.
